We do not remove the dew claws on our puppies. Our vet says that it is unnecessary. The primary purpose for removal is to prevent injury in rough country retrieving. The doc says he does not see dew claw injuries any more than footpad injuries, and even then they are not serious. This procedure is very painful on the puppies. We are taking a more humane approach and will not remove dew claws.
Also.... puppies leave to be with their new families at a minimum of 8 weeks, after the Dr. has seen them and given them his stamp of approval. They will come to you worm free, with 2 shots underway.
We do deliver up to 50 miles. Anything over 50, I charge $1 per mile. There are times when we make exceptions like going further if delivering more than one pup. Due to my work schedule as a teacher I can only deliver on weekends.
